Richie Johnson

Richie Johnson is a visual artist whose current work is involved in the creation of alien entities. At the core of his practice is an attempt to understand our uncanny relationships with objects, particularly the chair. Taking influence from chrome-coated sci-fi worlds, mediaeval weaponry, crop circles, and biomorphic forms, the chair is transformed through dream-like processes, becoming a strange, living creature. These creatures are brought into existence through sculpture, drawing, and sound.
